There are three main reasons that I think SeatGeek and I are a great match - the mission, the people, and the challenge.
First, the mission. As someone who is passionate about live events, SeatGeek's mission speaks to me. I introduce my 52 Shows blog with the line "there's just something about the live show", and I truly believe that. Connecting people to live events is a hobby and passion of mine, and I want to make it my career.
The people at SeatGeek are passionate about live events and technology and the ability of each to benefit the other. In short - they're my type of people, and SeatGeek is my type of company.
Finally, I want to work at SeatGeek for the challenge. Ticketing for live events is a crowded space, and while it's one that has already been disrupted it's very ripe for more. However, it's not enough to build a platform - driving user acquisition is paramount. I have experience tracking, creating, and iterating on user acquisition channels, and I want to use that experience to help SeatGeek change how even more people access live events. It's a challenge that I can't help but seek out, and I would love to take on that challenge with the team at SeatGeek.
